Lightning interop

Accept Lightning Payments From Any Wallet or App

You do not integrate Cash App, Strike, or Binance one by one. Accept Lightning once with the Amboss Payments API and receive from users of every Lightning-enabled wallet and exchange.

The rail is invisible to the payer

Your customer never has to think about Bitcoin or Lightning. They send from any app; you accept Lightning once and receive from anyone who can pay an invoice.

Step 1

A any app user

holds bitcoin in any app and chooses to send a payment over the Lightning Network.

Step 2

The Lightning Network

routes the payment in seconds. Neither side picks a "rail" — Lightning is the shared standard.

Step 3

Your business

receives the settled payment through the Amboss Payments API, the same way for every wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Which apps can send Bitcoin over the Lightning Network?
Consumer apps and exchanges including Cash App, Strike, Binance, Kraken, Coinbase, and River support Lightning sends, alongside dedicated wallets like Wallet of Satoshi, Phoenix, Muun, Blink, and Speed. Support and regional availability change over time, so confirm on each platform page.
Do I need a separate integration for each wallet?
No. Lightning is an open standard. You integrate the Amboss Payments API once to generate invoices and confirm settlement, and any wallet or exchange that can pay a Lightning invoice can pay you. There is no per-platform integration work.
Does my customer need to know they are using Lightning?
No. The payer scans a QR code or pays an invoice from the app they already use. They do not choose a rail, and they do not need a Bitcoin account with you. Lightning is the shared network underneath the payment.
